L’Alt Empordà by cycle
ALT EMPORDÀ CYCLE TOURISM NETWORK
FIGUERES-ROSES CYCLE AXIS

The route wich is fully signposted runs trough the northern Alt Empordà district. It starts in els Fossos car park in Figueres,  wich is the capital city of the district, it travels through a minor road and passes through some villages such as Vilatenim, Palol and Vilanova de la Myga. It then winds its way through paths and trails through Estanyol and Vilaüt. Further east it crosses the route to the wetlands, Natural Park of Aiguamolls de L’Empordà. It finally heads for Roses Citadel following the GR-92.

• Level: Easy, not hilly, good paths.
• Length: 22 km
• Along paths and country roads.
• The paths are not exclusive to bicycles: control your speed, and be careful at crossroads.
• Don’t use road bicycles: only  some parts are tarred
• Follow the signposts and do not enter private  roads nor fields.
• Respect the environment, do not throw rubbish.
• In wet period, the paths can be muddy.
